A Mother’s Cry by Chinonso Iroegbu

She cries at her depth

Accounting how the thieves

Stole all she had

And even raped her

They came like a friendly foe

With a fragrance to allure

But she refused to give in

They formed another strategy

Befriended her husband

So they could get her round

Her husband trusted them

They stole all he had

And raped his wife

O! She cried!
